The founders, Eric Freedman and Michael Goldberg each have unique skill sets that serve as the foundation of the business. We want you to be comfortable and confident that we have the “right stuff” to partner with you for your financial success.
Meet the principles:
Eric has been a principle of Freedman & Goldberg, CPAs, P.C. since its inception in 1982. He specializes in management advisory services, business start-up, business restructuring, litigation support, and corporate and individual taxes. He has lectured to law firms and brokerage houses on a number of subjects including tax and related topics.
Eric is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
Michael is a principle in the firm. He has been practicing since 1975 and specializes in taxes, investment and real estate. He has lectured on those topics and also published several articles on tax and real estate, some which have appeared in National Public Accountant and Taxes-The Tax Magazine.
Michael is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accounts. He earned his degree in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
Julie is a senior manager with the firm. She has been in public accounting with Freedman & Goldberg since 1988. Prior to that time, she worked as a controller for publicly held real estate development companies. At Freedman & Goldberg, Julie works with clients in a wide range of industries but specializes in real estate and construction accounting. She is responsible for income tax planning, business consulting, accounting services and governmental auditing.
Julie is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs. She is certified in both Michigan and Illinois. She holds a B.A. in Accounting from Augustana College and an M.B.A from DePaul University.
Gloria is a senior manager in our Farmington Hills office. She joined the firm during January, 2003 and returned during November, 2008 after working a year and a half as an accounting manager for the regional office of a public company. Gloria has worked primarily in the public accounting field since 1996. She has experience in a wide variety of industries with a focus on real estate and service businesses. Gloria holds an MBA from Capella University and a BSBA with an emphasis in accounting from Lawrence Technological University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Gloria is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Regina is senior accountant at our Farmington Hills office. She has both public accounting and private industry experience in numerous fields including but not limited to healthcare, retail, construction, insurance, employee
leasing, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, non-profit, franchisees, and real estate.
She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accountancy from Walsh College. Regina is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants, the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Section, and the Michigan
Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Some of her hobbies include gardening, genealogy, cooking, and riding her Victory motorcycle.
James is a new staff accountant at Freedman & Goldberg’s Grand Blanc Office. He has been working in the field of accounting and tax while studying for the CPA exam since graduating from Eastern Michigan University summa cum laude in 2012. With three of the four CPA exams passed, he’s planning on being a licensed CPA within the next year.
